I don't think so but you don't have to hit ctrl-O repeatedly,
you can say 5 ctrl-O. And if you've jumped too far, use ctrl-I.
Alternatively, you could designate a mark and drop it in a
mapping. Something like
:nnoremap / mz/
to drop the "z" mark. You can then use `z to return to the
location before you started your search.
