i use yahoo but have never set up a filter there -- my
experience is with mail filters for kmail -- with kmail, and i
suspect every mail client, you need a filter for every form of
address

in kmail, for vim-use, i have 7 rules, ANY of which must apply:

    1) To contains [email protected]
    2) CC contains [email protected]
    3) List-Id contains [email protected]
    4) To contains [email protected]
    5) CC contains [email protected]
    6) To contains [email protected]
    7) To contains [email protected]

each of which i needed at one time or another, and to which i
will add if/when more find a way to my Inbox
