Yeah, I mapped F9 to CTRL-] (both in Normal mode for help hotlinks and
in Insert and Cmd-line modes for triggering abbrevs). I did it before I
knew how to produce a Ctrl-] on my AZERTY (but Belgian and first Windows
then Linux) keyboard; now I've found that AltGr-Ctrl-$ does it, but F9
is still easier. ;-)
