Hi Meino,

You did not try hard :-)

$ vim --help | grep tab
   -p[N]                Open N tab pages (default: one for each file)
   --remote-tab[-wait][-silent] <files>  As --remote but use tab page per file

Therefore...

$ vim -p foo bar

... should open files foo and bar in 2 separate tabs.
