I use vim server quite heavily, even for console vim instances running inside gnu-screen.
If I need to restart X (gnu-screen stays running), then I lose a lot of functionality within that vim instance when I reconnect to gnu- screen. Client-server features, certain key bindings don't work (eg: anything with the Meta/ALT key), etc. Is it possible to somehow force a vim server to "re-connect" to the (new) X server running on $DISPLAY (or to another X server, running on a different $DISPLAY)? Thanks in advance for any assistance :) -- Imran -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist. Do not top-post! Type your reply below the text you are replying to.
