help for getquickfixlist says that the pattern entry is the search pattern used to locate the error. i echoed it into a file and looked at the value of the pattern and it is always empty. when i read help i thought pattern would be one of the values used in errorformat, however as it seems it is not. how is this possible? and why pattern is empty?
