Hi. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. Firstly I would like to thank you for the first answer, it helped me, now I know why it behaves the way it does.
For the second two questions, I would like to say that I KNOW git!!! I was referring to the Fugitive commands for push/pull and adding a whole directory, not the git ones (I know how I can do that in git:)). So the two remaining questions stand ... and should only be answered for the ones who actually use fugitive - they will know more.
