Hi,

I'm referring to something like syntax files do - color keywords of 
language. 
However, instead of static definition I'm looking for a convenient way to 
color, say in yellow, the last two or three searched patters. This could be 
useful when analyzing dense source code and I saw at least one IDE that 
supports this.
