I do have the same problem of GVim takes a long time to start-up, ~6-8s to get the screen shown which previously was working snappily. I also have the same problem when saving/writing changes to disk. It takes ~10s to even write the file! Looking at the Task Manager, it seems that the MS Security Essential is the culprit that is causing the behaviours.
