Does it happen for you when you start Vim without any vimrc tweaks? vim -u NONE some_file_with_greater-than_quotes.txt I suspect some sort of plugin is interfering with what should be the behavior you expect (the normal behavior that I see here). -tim -- -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
