I think perhaps the easiest way to get used to vim is to just power through
the frustrating bits. That is my general approach. It is just that
sometimes the slash to my productivity requires me to switch back. It can
be hard to focus on work when you are wrangling with the editor, but when
it does work it is wonderful.

Thanks for those suggestions on what plugins to use. I currently use
neocomplete and find it quite handy, it's just the lack of method
definitions. I'll have a look at omni and also see if neo can do what I'm
looking for. Ctags sounds amazing, I think that will help a lot.
