I'm adding a little to what Ben wrote. It is a shame about adverts at vim.wikia.com (although I never see them), but as Ben noted, the ads pay for a good server and a fast internet connection, and support. Also, there is a practically guaranteed continuity to the site because even if Ben and I were hit by the same bus, the site would still exist and others could take over. It's very unlikely that there will ever be a problem of someone failing to renew the domain name, or that the tips might be lost due to a server glitch.
It would be better if everyone concentrated on one site IMHO, but people have given good reasons why they prefer something else. John -- -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
