Nice read... I see how well you got the salient points....

Rant?  That's going off on on a mostly emotional response vs.
presenting facts, figures, examples and comparisons.  Could you
describe why you'd call a research thesis a rant?

It's not like I wrote it on a whim.  Rants don't usually cite multiple
sources.
