OK, I've googled my fingers off trying to find this. When I start gvim with
-p, or do :tabnew in a gvim with only a single buffer, the "command line" (or
whatever its called - the place where searches and commands show up) isn't
visible unless I resize the window. This only happens if I use the -geom
option.

This happens on multiple machines (linux and cygwin), and multiple vim
versions, up to and including 7.4.

How do I fix this? My wrapper script calculates an appropriate geometry for
that display and file type and uses -geom to set it. So I'd hate to give up
-geom.

Thanks,
Paul Zimmer
