That depends: did you put your plugins, customizations, etc where you
were supposed to, which means NOT in the vim distribution's directories
but under your personal directory? Even if you did put your plugins in
the vim system directories, you won't lose them as they'll still be
there, they just won't be used by the 7.4 distribution (ie. your mods
will be left in .../vim72/..., whereas the vim 7.4 code will use a new
directory, .../vim74/... .
