Could anyone please provide MD5 checksum of gvim-7-4-560.exe on
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cream/files/Vim/. I wonder WHY that URL or even
www.vim.org doesn't provide MD5 cheksum or like for vim packages to be
downloaded.

Thank you Pavlov, your reply could make sense.

Dear Brabandt, thanks for your reply. According to your instruction, I checked
http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Where_to_download_Vim and downloaded gvim-7-4-560.exe
successfully. But I have a question, the download page shows the
gvim-7-4-560.exe size is 8.5M, but my downloaded file is only 8.1M, accurately,
 8,477,008

I guess your problem is that gvim-7-4-560.exe size is 8.5 MB, but your download
size is 8.1 MiB which computes (8.5 * (1000**2) / (1024**2) == 8.106). Windows
is twisted: 1 MB in Windows is not 1 MB, it is one 1 MiB. And no, 1 MB is *not*
1024^2 bytes, SI defines M prefix as 1000^2 multiplier no matter what it is
applied to.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mebibyte

bytes. And I checked the site from which file was downloaded is
http://jaist.dl.sourceforge.net/project/cream/Vim/7.4.560/gvim-7-4-560.exe that
is a mirror in Japan. And the download page does not display MD5 of that
gvim.exe file. Could you or anyone help to verify if my downloaded
gvim-7-4-560.exe tainted? Thanks a lot. Good luck!
