Hey Guys, I am compiling my current file with the command: :! pdflatex %
Vim briefly fires off a shell and the external program's progress is echo'ed to sterr (I believe). This is the behavior I want. However, when I put this mapping into my .vimrc inoremap <C-p> <esc>w!!pdflatex %<CR>i The messages that were previously echo'ed to stderr are now inserted into my file. Ideally I would like the stderr messages to appear in a split window. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist. Do not top-post!
