YCM is currently working for me. My Vim is a little behind yours (but I
thought it was recent):

VIM - Vi IMproved 8.2 (2019 Dec 12, compiled Apr 13 2020 06:16:41)
macOS version
Included patches: 1-539
Huge version with MacVim GUI. Features included (+) or not (-):

Compilation: gcc -c -I. -Iproto -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DFEAT_GUI_MACVIM -Wall
-Wno-unknown-pragmas -pipe
-DMACOS_X -DMACOS_X_DARWIN -g -O2 -U_FORTIFY_SOURCE -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=1
Linking: gcc -L/usr/local/lib -o Vim -framework Cocoa -framework Carbon
    -lm -lncurses -lico
nv -framework AppKit -fstack-protector
 -L/System/Library/Perl/5.18/darwin-thread-multi-2level/COR
E -lperl

YcmDebugInfo:
-- Server Python interpreter: /usr/local/bin/python3
-- Server Python version: 3.8.1
-- Server has Clang support compiled in: True
-- Clang version: clang version 9.0.0 (tags/RELEASE_900/final)
-- Extra configuration file found and loaded

I don't see how any of this helps you though. I've been using YCM for a
few years now and occasionally need to tweak my stuff to get it working
again.
Good luck!
