I don't know if anyone responded, but the correct key strokes are
quote plus yy
You missed the beginning quote keypress

"+yy does exactly that, copy the current line into the clipboard in
Windows GVim, but it also contains the final new line. I suppose
you can
use the TextYankPost event to strip the final newline if you do
not like
it.
