I'm not marcy, but here is what we've been working with: open garage band, check the loop browser after choosing existing project or new podcast or new music project. check some loop categories, interact with the loops table, Interact with a loop and try vo-shift-space and nothing happens.
I can also add that the loops do not play in garageband when accessed directly with an error message about an unsupported file type. I'e tried this in three versions of garageband.
