Apple almost never tells anyone about its product roadmap. Maybe their is a pre-release announcement, but that's only a month or two bfore you can buy what-ever it is, in order to generate buzz and sales interest.
iLife isn't always updated every year. There was an iLife 09, so there might not be an iLife until next year. I've heard several sites speculate about an iLife mobile version for iPad. A mobile version of GB would be pretty cool, even though it would be a bit stripped down. I'd really like a mobile sequencer/scratch pad like that. There are several apps of that sort for iPad, but the ones that I tried weren't accessible. As far as I know, there isn't any sort official word, one way or another, though. If you're looking for something to try, Pro Tools 8.04 came out recently with accessibility. Its softsynths aren't as good as GB and Logic, but they are pretty good, and it is practically fully accessible. It's way better than GB if you're trying to do just audio recording/editing. You can get the M-Powered version for around $250, so it isn't too pricy, either.
