There is indeed no way in vimb to put in customer content to the statusbar at
the time. I've thought about this some months before but didn't come to a
solution that would be simple and powerful for the users too.

1. We could add an area to show custom content and provide an ex-command like
   :set custom-status-text=... to allow to set text to it from config file or
   during runtime. This would be easy to implement, but provides no real
   benefit. If you want to show if JavaScrip is enables or not it would be 
better
   to check against the settting.
2. Maybe we could find a syntax to force vimb to write the settings value into
   placeholders used in the statusbar. This would recuire to ask for the set 
   values every time the statusbar is updated and may slow down the rendering a
   little.
Hope someone else have some ideas how this could be done to keep the browser 
simple and powerful for the user.
