processor type や hardware platform が unknown ではなかったので、
それが表示されたということなのですね。今、Vine 4.2 で uname -a を
やってみたら、その部分が i686 athlon i386 になっていました。
Vine 5.0 の場合、x86_64 が三つも続いたので、ビックリしたのだと
思います。
英語 man に当たってみなかったのは、怠慢でした。
