If you are going to upgrade to 7.5.5 then, yes, wait till then to start
trying Internet apps.

You can simply network the Plus with the others using LocalTalk. For
that you just need some PhoneNet adapters and phone cable. They should
be realtively easy to find. This will let you transfer files between
the computers.

To go on the Internet you have two choices.

1)
Get a SCSI - Ethernet adapter. These are somewhat rare but I think you
should be able to still find one. Asante was one manufacturer of them.
One of these and the required software will let you connect a wired
router and on to the Internet.

I had problems with this, IIRC the software had a tendency to crash.

2)
Set up a LocalTalk network and install IPNetRouter on another machine.

You can either connect the Plus using LocalTalk directly to another Mac
or use LocalTalk to connect to an Ethernet to LocalTalk Bridge and
connect that to your LAN.

Once you have the network hardware set up you need IPNetRouter to route
IP traffic from the LocalNet machines to the LAN using MacIP.

It's a more complicated set up but I've found it quite reliable. One
problem is whether or not your Internet router will talk to another
router. Some do, some don't.
