Sigh. That doesn't work on  this 8500 running OS 9.1

There were a series of 15 pin D connector boxes made for Ethernet. 
The connector was for driving a 10base2 connection to an ethernet 
cable that you had to drill into to make connection. A special driver 
connected to the co-ax by drilling and to Apple computers with 15 
pins. A proof would be a sliding latch on the 15 pin connector 
instead of the typical pair os screws.
