I recently (today) got a Quadra 630. A very interesting mac... Anyways, I plugged it in, and pressed the power button. It chimed, and I could hear the fans, and HD spinning up. Then after about 5 seconds, it just stopped... Haven't been able to get anything out of it since. (no chime, no HD or fan activity whatsoever.) I replaced the Pram battery with a known working one, and pressed the red reset button. Still nothing. Anything more simple to try, or is it most likely that the motherboard or processor is just bad? I think I do have an extra 680040 processor around, but it looks like it's quite hard to take out. Anyways, any tips or suggestions would be welcome!
