The poster is probably looking for a Hayes-compatible modem. Nearly
all serial modems are, though many use modem 'scripts' to allow
software to enable special features. A 33.6 Kbps modem should do fine.
A modem not designed for Macs would work too with proper cabling, as
long as it uses Hayes-compatible AT commands.
