It also requires replacing the IWM (Integrated Woz Machine) with the SWIM 
(Super Woz Integrated Machine) chip to use a 1.44M drive.

The ROMs and SWIM chip should always be saved from any un-repairable SE FD/HD 
board. Same goes for any Mac II that got a ROM and SWIM upgrade to fix the RAM 
Bank A bugs and add 1.44M support.
