Following a link at dealmac.com I found the 1/2AA batteries on sale
for $2.49 each.  According to dealmac there's a coupon code for orders
over $25 ("COUPON15") which knocks off another 15%.

Would work in a Mac Plus for $2.99.  It's 3.6V instead of 4.5V but
folks have reported using much lower voltages successfully.

No association or relation.  I just think it's an unusually low price
for a battery we all need eventually.
