I've taken apart several different versions of the Keyboard II, and
from what I remember the power button was set up on a really tall
internal button that had a spring on it, and the actual key clipped to
the top case with a small plastic bar.
Like so:
side: ({ } = spring || = button ∏=button base, -- = clip going into
case)

I have no idea if that's helpful at all.... I would take some pictures
of the ones I have, but we are in the process of moving and all my
vintage Apple keyboards are, unfortunately, packed already.
