Hi,

In short all SMD capacitors. They are all old and degraded so when
rebuilding a logic board you really need to replace them all.
It's really impossible to say exactly which capacitor is responsible for the
failure of the board: probably it will be several one's.

At the top of each SMD capacitors there are 2 values: the voltage and the
capacitance. Replace them with identical SMD or tantalum one's of the same
value.

Good Luck,

Nico

Onderwerp: Which Classic II Capacitors should I change?

Hello

I have a Mac Classic II that I've had from new (1991 I think) I

powered it up recently and it made no sound and took ages before the

Mac smile face came on, about 20-30 minutes? I replaced the internal

battery and now if I turn it on I get 4 white stripes and 5 black

stripes, then after 20-30 minutes it starts up with no sound.

Can the capacitors be easily identified are they numbered?

Any ideas?
