Hello all, the saga continues
I've had a lot of good advice from you and I'm looking for a bit more. I have a Quadra 610 that is working fine again and I also have a Pioneer 4 times CD Rom drive that I bought when the comp was new. It has two SCSI connectors on the back and it attaches to a SCSI port in the back of the comp. There was a time when it worked (about 6 mos. Ago when I got the whole thing going before the hard drive gave out. Second hand floppy and second hand hard drive got me going again and there was only one little flub a week ago when I put in a new second hand CD Rom drive that worked for a while and then caused the whole comp to get pains and nearly die. (I could have had something to do with that as I unhooked it without turning the comp off . . .) Anyway it is now working OK again and I was just wondering if anyone would have an idea of how I could get my old Pioneer CD Rom to work again. Not sure whether is a software problem or what but it does not show on the screen and there was a time when it did. Any ideas?
