Some of this information is incorrect. First of all, the newest System that a standard Mac 128k will run is System 3.2. Of course, this machine may have been upgraded with more RAM, a Mac Plus logic board, an 800k drive, or any combination of the above. If so, then it could possibly run a newer system. Second of all, the standard Mac 128k came with a 400k disk drive, meaning that anything double-sided or HD will not work. Any Mac with a floppy disk drive (but not a USB floppy drive) can make 400k disks providing that it is running an old enough Mac OS which still has support for the MFS disk format which is used on 400k disks. As far as I know, this excludes any Mac running OS 8, 9, and 10. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
