I have a quick question. I'm selling a Lacie Tsunami 100 mg external
HD. I formatted it using Lido 7 on my Classic. It's spinning like a
top and seems to work great. A prospective buyer has a question that
I can't honestly answer. Here's the question:
"With the formatting you've done, do you think your external HD
would work with a Mac IIsi running OS 6.0.8?"
I wouldn't know why it shouldn't work fine but I've never owned a
Mac II. What should I tell him?
It will probably work. But it's moot! Upon receiving a new HD thru
the mail, after letting it acclimate for a few hours or overnight
(especially in this cold weather!), his first task should be to
reformat[*] it! No telling what horrible things happened to that
package in transit...
[*] Old SCSI drives, you re-format. Newer IDE/SATA drives, you
re-initialize and zero all blocks.
