Waking up can be such a bummer! :)
I'm fortunate enough to have gotten one way back; a IIfx with a
"monster" 400 MB drive and a 24bit Raster-Ops board powering a 23 inch
monitor that weighs a ton! It cost over 10 g's plus another 10 for
the monitor but, man was it a rush to use back in the day, especially
after I'd been used to -and quite attached to - my loyal little plus.
(Everyone thought I was nuts, btw)
As it happens I haven't used or needed the office it's in (at home)
for years, so it still sits there in perfect condition. It literally
looks - and works - just like the day I bought it, although it hasn't
been on for more than a total of 10 or 12 hours since the mid- 90's
(maybe that's why...) Stepping into that room is like a time
warp :). All that being the case, I wouldn't dream of letting it go -
at any price.
... then again, I suppose everything's for sale... if
- ;)
