Is there anyway you can download the free 7.5.3 from apple and get it on Floppies and install it ? I fooled with 7.1 only a tiny bit and it was pretty awkward to me, think 7.5 would be a might easier. ____ Make sure the card is well seated, pull out and push back in a few times to get good contact, possibly blow dust out of the socket with canned air, polish contacts with a pencil eraser. Its not too hard to find LC ethernet cards of various kinds on Ebay, if it is indeed really bad.
