Just throwing this out there, but I wonder how hard it would be to reverse engineer one of these and come up with details on how they can be recreated anew... The only thing I can think of that may be particularly difficult to recreate is the firmware contained on the chips, but with the use of a chip flasher it should be possible to download the firmware's, note the specific chips used, which firmware goes where, and then use a chip flasher to reflash newly ordered chips before they are soldered.
