I'm heading to my home next week, I"ll dig out my IIGS and my disks, see
what kind of 3.5" drive it has (We've got it fully loaded, and all origional
factory-installed parts too, except the keyboard, mighta stolen that for my
Classic, I'll have to check)
I used that for quite a few years before I got my uncle's old PM6100, but I
didn't have the system disks for it then, so it was basically a souped
up ][e

Thanks everyone - it is great to see so many people with Apple II
knowledge still around.
I might get a IIc Plus or IIGS - the IIc Plus is compatible with the
Apple 3.5" Drive (Apple part # A9M0106) that worked on the Mac, right?
I know those drives are much more prevalent as they were Macintosh
compatible.
Is there 3.5" software that depended upon the peculiarities of the
UniDisk 3.5" drive and therefore won't work with any other 3.5" drive
(i.e. the Macintosh 800k external disk drive (Mac-only) or the
external SuperDrive)?
I didn't know how horrible the UniDisk 3.5" worked with the IIGS D.
Finnigan - guess because it has slower access rates to match the IIe/
IIc processor speed it slows down the IIGS as well.
