Huh? The Mac Plus was produced in Platinum from 1987 through 1990, it
was one of the best selling Macs of all time.

There's nothing_rare_ about it.

It's not like its in its original box or anything. If anything a beige
Plus is more rare as it was only produced for a year, though so many
were produced, none of them can really be called rare.

They sell for very little on eBay. Putting it in storage is only going
to allow the capacitors to age and leak, corrosion to accumulate,
floppy grease to solidify, and ultimately destroying it. Sell it or
use it, but don't try to run up it's value by holding it off the
market. It'll be another 20 years before the Plus is so rare it will
actually be worth anything.

FYI, just because the capacitors haven't failed means nothing. They
age regardless of how well the unit is cared for, and these are EOL.
