Yep.  I posted about this within the last month or so.  Your symptom
is almost always caused by pin 1 of the connector on the analog board
for the cable which connects the logic board and the analog board.

So look at the logic board (it has fewer cables).  Find the cable that
connects it to the analog board.   Look at that connector on the
analog board.  You'll need to remove the cardboard cover.  Pin 1 is
the one by itself on the other side of the blank position.   IIRC. it
is also the pin closest to the front of the machine.  Desolder and
resolder pin 1.  The cardboard cover was held on by double sided
sticky foam.  You can buy the stuff in 3" strips at Radio Shack, or
you could many years ago.  Clean off the old before applying the new.
