There is actually a standard for Ethernet-based SCSI devices.  That
is, it's in the SCSI protocol specifications.  I think the SCSI Link-T
(is this from Dayna?) is one of the few devices that may have adhered
to the protocol.  A driver was even made available for Atari systems
(I think through reverse engineering or signal inspection):
