Try these instructions:

Install your 4.2 driver on your 9600 system. Then insert your ZIP disk
and format it. Attach your ZIP disk. Set Term Power To ON, Use SCSI ID
6.

The 800K 6.0.8  floppy needs to have the 4.2 INIT in the system
folder.

The Plus should recognize the disk now.
