There were also two flavors of monochrome monitors and a low cost Color monitor 
that was available then.  And there were a number of VGA monitors that were 
available then (with adapter).

Brightness and Contrast controls on that monitor are on the side, set in the 
curve where the case narrows, about 2 inches from the front.  I don't recall if 
it was left or right side.
