Well after many hours and combinations and of coarse a copy safely on a bootable Zip disk, I think when I erased the monster 160 MB HDD and restored the 7.1P6 to said drive, I the did a restore 7.5.5 from a 6500 disk magic took place and all looks good now. It boots to 7.5.5 and no 10 error. I'm under the impression that the restore from the 6500 7.5.5 was leaving something from the previous system not included in the extensions or control panels, maybe a font or driver. However now that it's working I will compare both system folders to try to find the culprit. Is this an indication of no life? :) Thanks to all you guys for the help John M Placentia CA [email protected] -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
