update on lc to internet.. loaded up 7.5.3 on external disk and booted system now using macTCP. same setup as before. --> except for mac TCP loaded and not open transport.
mac TCP) is setup with manual address (192.168.1.56) mask 255.255.255.0 (switched to classic networking) gateway address 192.168.1.1(router lan address) DNS server name "lciii.homer" address 192.168.1.1(saves having to change DNS addresses if it changes) only one entry and set to default. lciii is name of the LCIII and homer is local domain. works the same as with open transport, except it is a little faster. sorry about the LC , must have got tired. dale ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Deuel To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, November 12, 2010 9:48 PM Subject: Re: LC networking problem On Nov 10, 2010, at 9:58 PM, Britt Dodd wrote: Just saw it. Guess the power supply bit it. Anyone need LC parts? :) Brian -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
