Most definitely...had that happen to an old Tandy PC of mine...a neat old 286...wow...yuck. I really need to pull it out and try to do something to at least stop the damage from getting any worse. Probably no hope of it ever running again though... :-( So yes...take a few minutes and pull batteries out of your old stuff in storage!
