Personally, I would just try it with an IDE Compactflash adapter and
card...pretty cheap and you can get cards of just a few Gb (or less).

Does anyone have source for cheap SCSI to IDE adapters? I'd love to play
around with the same (probably on an LCII)...but can't find an adapter with
a price tag I can justify...

I have several different types of IDE-SCSI adapters (Acard ARS-2000FU, SCM
PCD-50b (SCSI multi-card adapter), and others), and I'll give them a shot in
my IIci, as soon as I finish unpacking, from my move. I've had good success
with these adapters on a variety of other SCSI-I-based machines.
