Hey all! I'm beginning to restore my Mac Plus, and this will be a meticulous job. I intend to make this Mac Plus shine and work happily once again!
I've already begun by mixing up a batch of retr0bright to de-yellow the casings for the Mac Plus, keyboard, and mouse: http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/ I also want to clean the keyboard completely. There's tons of nasty dust bunnies all around the insides of the keyboard. But I was wondering how to pull the metal shielding apart from the keyboard's logic board? I feel like if I do it wrong, I might accidentally rip the whole thing apart and cause even more severe damage. I already managed to clean the mouse out entirely, but the keyboard needs a cleaning and quite badly!
