Stairways Software = the folks who did Interarchy - offer Netpresenz which will allow OS 7.5 to act as an FTP server. You do need an ethernet capability on your system 7 machine. Lion won't transfer files using AppleTalk or Apple File Transfer Protocol. (That's why I'm still at 10.3.9.) Lion will not allow you to send files to any FTP server even if you have a username and password. It's apparently a security thing. My way around it is to use curl but that's a UNIX tool that's included in the distribution of Lion but requires a Terminal.app session to use it. Netpresenz does support Apple resource forks using MacBinary format. I doubt that Lion still knows anything about that. OS 7 applications on 68k machines do require resource forks. -- --> Halloween == Oct 31 == Dec 25 == Christmas <-- -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
