Borrow or get from the swap list an OS 8.5 or 9.0 install CD. Insert the CD into the drive (computer running). Click on the apple on the top left of the screen, go to "Control Panels." Click or choose "Startup Disk." Choose the CD as the startup disk. Restart the computer. After restarting, look for "Drive Setup" on the CD, and double click. The computer will scan for drives and give you a list. Select the one you want to wipe. Click "Functions," and go down to "Initialization Options." Click the box "Zero all data." Click Okay. Click Initialize. Absolutely everything will be erased. Chuck -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
